Moroccan mixed salad

I offer you this cold starter a beautiful mixed salad that will delight young and old at ftour times. The salad is always welcome when young, it allows us to fill up on vitamins while enjoying a colorful starter that is easy and quick to prepare. To make this Moroccan salad you will need raw or cooked vegetables according to taste. I chose several raw vegetables such as grated carrot, green salad, cherry tomatoes, beets, and mixed vegetables that I associated with a white rice salad and a good homemade mayonnaise. For the decoration, I opted for slices of rolled turkey ham, mimosa eggs, and whole shrimp. You can also present with small tuna turnovers or salted puff pastries.

At home, we love to prepare this salad for Moroccan weddings because it is always well-composed and original and has an effect on the tables. Be creative and don’t hesitate to add small skewers of cheese and cherry tomatoes or meat bricks that will go perfectly with this pretty dish. Of course, I make my homemade salad dressing, another great idea for a successful oriental wedding menu, Algerian, Moroccan, Tunisian or European wedding! I advise you to use a large round or oval serving dish and place small piles of raw vegetables to obtain a nice decoration for the salad.

Ingredients:

  • 4 carrots
  • 1 packet of beets
  • a green salad, Batavia, or lamb’s lettuce
  • 5 hard-boiled eggs
  • homemade mayonnaise
  • 1 large box of mixed salad
  • 1 can of corn
  • 2 cans of natural tuna
  • a bowl of rice
  • you can also add 1 cucumber or other raw vegetables
  • prawns, turkey ham
  • for the sauce: whole egg, mustard, oil, and vinegar


Salad recipe idea for a Moroccan wedding

  1. Start by cooking a bowl of rice in a large pot of salted water
  2. then drain and rinse and set aside
  3. then cook the eggs for 8 minutes
  4. let cool and remove the yolk and mix it with the tuna and mayonnaise
  5. then fill the egg white halves with stuffing
  6. and peel the carrots and grate them
  7. then remove the skin from the cucumber and cut it into thin slices
  8. then drain the salad and mix it with the white rice and mayonnaise
  9. salt and pepper if necessary
  10. then move on to editing
  11. place in a large round or oval salad dish a little green salad and small piles of raw vegetables
  12. and put the mixed rice salad in a bowl and turn it over in the center of the dish
  13. then add mortadella slices and whole prawns all around
